Asam urek (bahaso Inggirih: uric acid, urate) adolah senyawa turunan purina jo rumus kimia C5H4N4O3 sarato rasio plasma darah antaro 3,6 mg/dL (~214µmol/L) dan 8,3 mg/dL (~494µmol/L) (1 mg/dL = 59,48 µmol/L)[2].
Balabiah (hiperurisemia, hyperuricemia) atau bakurang (hipourisemia, hypouricemia) kadar asam urek dalam plasma darah iko acok manjadi indikasi adonyo panyakik atau gangguan pado tubuah manusia.
