1I/‘Oumuamua (sacaro rasmi banamo 1I/2017 U1; sabalunnyo C/2017 U1 (PANSTARRS) dan A/2017 U1) adolah objek antarbintang nan partamo dikana nan lalu ka Tata Surya.[12] Objek iko awalnyo dikiro sabuah komet, kudian diklasifikasikan sabagai asteroid saminggu kudian. Objek iko iyolah bando partamo dari objek antarbintang. Akibaik lintasan hiperbola, bando iko akan malalui orbit Neptunus pado taun 2022 dan maninggakan sistem Tata Surya kiro-kiro 20.000 taun. Jumlah wakatu objek tasabuik malayang di antaro bintang-bintang galaksi cakram iko alun dikatahui.

Badasarkan 34 hari observasi arc, eksentrisitas orbit ‘Oumuamua iko iyolah 1,20, nan paliang tinggi dari objek nan alun dicaliak dalam sistem Tata Surya. Pamogang rekor sabalunnyo iyolah C/1980 E1 dangan eksentrisitas orbit 1,057.[n 3] Eksentrisitas tinggi dari orbit ‘Oumuamua, baiak orbit masuak dan kalua, manunjuakan dek bando tu indak parnah tarikek gravitasi ka Tata Surya dan objek antarbintang basobok laju masuak nan labih capek daripado Laju lapeh Matoari. Benda iko bagarak pado arah nan balawanan dari orbit planet-planet, pado kamiringan ka ekliptika hinggo 60°. Arah garakan dari ‘Oumuamua iyolah 6° dari apeks tata surya.

  1. Objects in hyperbolic orbits have negative semimajor axis, giving them a positive orbital energy.
  2. Range at which the object is expected to be observable. Brightness peaked at 19.7 mag on 18 October 2017, and fades below 27.5 mag (the limit of HST for fast-moving objects) around 1 January 2018. By late 2019, it should dim to 34 mag.
  3. Unlike ʻOumuamua, C/1980 E1's orbit got its high eccentricity due to a close encounter with Jupiter. Its inbound-orbit eccentricity was less than 1.
