Pulau San Salvador

Pulau San Salvador adolah sabuah pulau jo distrik di Bahama, nan takenal sabagai lokasi kamungkinan pandaratan patamo Christopher Columbus di Amerika pado tanggal 12 Oktober 1492 salamo palayaran patamonyo. Pulau ko mampunyoi panduduak sabanyak 824 jiwa pado tahun 2022.[1] Pamukiman tagadang jo pusek administratif distrik barado di kota Cockburn.
Namo San Salvador baasa dari bahaso Spanyol Isla San Salvador (pulau juru salamaik suci) nan diagiahan dek Columbus untuak mahormati Yesus Kristus.[2] Columbus mancatat namo tampek tu dek panduduak asali sabagai Guanaham, nan kamudian dikatahui sabagai kasalahan panyabuikan dari bahaso Lucayan Guanahaní, nan bararti “tanah ketek di paraian ateh”.[3] Sabalunnyo, pulau ko banamo Watling nan digunoan dari tahun 1680-an hinggo 1926.[4]
